Materials: Worsted weight yarn: 1544  yards. Steel crochet hook US size I or SIZE FOR GAUGE.

Approximate Finished Sizes:
Using worsted weight yarn: Width = 48 inches Height = 60 inches

Gauge: Using worsted weight yarn: 10 squares = 9.1 inches, 10 rows = 6.7 inches

How to read the pattern:
Each solid square is equal to 4 double crochets. Each open square is equal to 1 double crochet followed by two chains followed by 1 double crochet. The double crochet at the end of each square also counts as the first double crochet of the next square. For example, a solid square followed by an open square equals 4 double crochets, 2 chains, 1 double crochet. See diagram.

MORE TIPS To Simplify pattern:

Follow odd rows R→L and even rows L→R.
The first solid block of every row counts as 4 DC. Each following solid block of the row counts as 3 DC. Each open block counts as chain 2, DC (skipping two chains and stitching in the third, forming the open space.)

See my Tutorial Links on the sidebar of https://www.SuperlativeStitchery.com to learn how to use my graph patterns in filet crochet and other methods such as C2C with two colors, Double Crochet in two colors, Mosaic Crochet, and the Popcorn stitch. *Keep in mind that any approximate dimensions given in this pattern apply only to using the graphs as a single color filet crochet pattern. Using them with alternate methods will adjust the size and may require additional creativity or skill level adding extra rows or borders to maintain targeted dimension ratios.
